July 6.—Special cables and telegraphic communications received by Brad- street’s show the following changes In the movement of grain: Wheat—United States and Canada,, east of | Rockies, decreased 1,005.000 bushels; afloat for and tn Europe, increased 1,800,000 bushels: total supply, decreased 105.000 bushels. CHICAGU, July 6.—The wheat market was weak from the start. September was Jdown e o e to L@%e at 2K Gizige. The ain factor of weakness was the im- proved weather condition. A contrébutory fac- tor was the decline in the price of wheat at Liverpvol. Sellers were given increased en- couragement by the movement of wheat in the Southwest. This led to heavy selling of the July option and there was a sharp decline In the price of that delivery. Other months were decidedly affected by the profit taking in July. Before the end of the first hour Sep- tember had declined to. 86%c. On the break commission houses purchased fréely. The buy- ing resuited in a quick upturn, September ad- vancing to ST%@ST%c. The rally was helped by a dual report made by two well-known erop experts estimating the total yleld of win- ter wheat at 350,000,000 bushels to 363,000,000, whereas inferences from Government figures make the yield about 435,000,000. The mar- ket, however, lacked any fresh damage re- ports{to give confidence to the bulls, and on that account a reaction soon occurred, follow- ing renewed liquidation. A prominent long was credited with liberal sales during the last hour of trading. The market closed weak, with September e down at N6 @S68&c. Sentiment in the corn pit inclined the buil- ishness. A firm tone prevalled at the close. September closed at 55ec.
