The police have been for the last| month on the lookout for Lawrence | Hill, who is wanted in San Mateo| County, and yesterday afternoon De- tectives Cody and Mulcahy saw him on Montgomery street and placed him un- | der arrest. He was locked up in the City Prison. | Hill was employed by one Leon of| Burlingame. It is alleged that about a | month ago Hill stole a horse and buggy and some jewelry belonging to his em- ployer and drove to a store in San Mateo, where he purchased a quantity of clothing and underclothing in the name of his employer. He drove to this city and tied the horse to a hitching post at Golden Gate avenue and Lar- kin street.
