W YORK, June 13.—The flattering specu- ¢ upward movement in prices was a sore ppointment to-day tgythe professional trad- ing element. The rise® which developed in th latter part of last week had aroumed great | hopes that the market was at last stirred out of its rut. The presumption was widespread mn the advance in prices had received coun- nee and assistance from some of the large banking and . railroad interests, . whose co- operation in the market has been vainly looked for by the traders for many weeks past. There was no evidence to-day of buying of this character and when the smaller clase of specu- letors attempted to take profits on some of the holdings taken over inst week they found | they had the market to themselves and no | absorptive power for their moderate offerings. | The reasons which the habitual traders ex- | t for & movement of | igned. CHICAGO, June 13.—Sentiment in the wheat pit to-day was bearish during the early part of the ession.
