B. dell, Leightc The entire Kawalkowskl family, consisting of Frank Kawalkowski and his nine children, took part in a live- 1y scene in Judge Troutt's court yes- terday during the hearing of the suit of Martha Kawalkowski, the defend- ant’s eldest daughter, to compel him to support her little brothers and sisters. As Miss Kawalkowski, after leaving the witness stand was pass- ing her father, he made some remark, which caused her to suddenly stop. She looked at him for fully half a minute and then screamed and fell in a faint. The rest of the family rushed to her assistance and added to the noise by talking and shouting. Kawalkowski is supposed to have a matrimonial mania and this is the cause of the trouble. He has been ex- amined as to his sanity, but has never been committed. His children say he does not support them because he spends his time and money in the pur- suit of some woman to take the place of their mother, who died in June, 1902. When the noise had subsided Judge Troutt put the case over a week, sug- gesting that in the meantime Kawal- kowski make some provision for his children — e APPRAISE MISS CLA T estate of the late Isabella 5 the ommitted suicide r, was appraised of jewelry and’ reaity terday at worth $7100.
