SAN LUIS OBISPO, April 18.—The safe in the office of the Southern Pa- cific Milling Company at Guadalupe was discovered this morning to have been blown open by burglars some time after closing time Saturday night. Very little money is kept in the safe and only $4 50 was secured. The safe was badly demolished, the door having been blown across the room and the books and records con- | siderably damaged. A hole had been drilled in the top and nitro glycerin poured in with a funnel. STOCKTON, April 18.—The body of a man supdosed to be a laborer was found this morning about a mile and a half south of town on the Southern Pacific Railroad track, badly man- gled. The man was about five feet seven inches tall, had a black mus- tache and dark features. It is sup- posed that he was run over by a train.
