Philip S. Allen, formerly a Deputy Cor- oner in this city, has just returned from the new mining region at Kingman, Ariz. Mr. Allen says the gold find there is a promising one, but that he paid his at- tention to turquoise mines. He brought some fine samples of this stone and says Harvard mill at Jamestown were hung up by the giving out. of electric power. The mine will. work a few men during the dry season on development.
