Rafael was untrained but made a good showing until a left swing flush on the mouth took all the fight out of him. He was down seven seconds when his seconds' threw up the sponge to save him from further punishment. He out- boxed Otts at times, landing his left to the head repeatedly but without any steam behind the blows. Jack Evans and Harry Sheridan boxed a five-round draw.
