She brought 182 cabin passengers fifty-five in the steerage and 232 Aslat Her 4298 tons of cargo included 1678 ton of freight for overland destinations. She | brought 403 bales of raw silk, valued at| $242,000 and her cargo included 1748 haln‘s‘ of gunnies, packages of curlos, 27.971 | Company’s liner | chests of tea and 3 cases of crude opium. | In her treasure room she brought 30 cases | of Hawallan silver, valued at $30,000. Among the passengers who arrived on the Siberia were some prominent people and a large number of globe trotters. G. H. {Umbsen, the local real estate agent, | returned on the liner. Lieutenant Frank- | lin Kitchener of the British navy, a nephew of Lord Kitchener of Khartoum, was a passenger. He has been on the Asfatic station, attached to the battle- hip Goliath, and is on his home to ngland on leave. Miss Adele Nott of the Neill-Frawley combination came home on the Siberta. While in the Orient Chlef Engineer Fer- guson of the Siberla was injured by fall- ing down a companionway and later died from pneumonia. His body was brought home on the Nippon Maru. Lasserroth, a young walter, was ar- rested yesterday afternoon by Policeman Connors on a warrant issued last February by Police Judge Fritz, charging him with an assault with a deadly weapon. The complaining witness is Gustav Levy, 322 Seventh street, who alleges that Lasser- roth, while under the influence of liugor, tried to pick a quarrel with him outside the restaurant where Lasserroth was em- ployed.
