George Jacobsen, a waiter, had an un- happy experience yesterday morning. He and his wife live at 24313 Tehama street, and when he went home early in the morning the front door was locked. He opened a window to effect an entrance. Mrs. Oswald also lives in the house and happened to sce Jacobsen crawling through the window and came to the con- clusion that he was a burglar. Mrs. Oswald was fortified in her opinion when she missed her gold watch. She hurried to the Southern police station, ‘where she told her grievance. Policemen Tyrrell and Winzler arrested Jacobsen and booked him at the City Prison on a charge of burgiary, although he pro- tested that he knew nothing about Mrs. Oswald's watch. A few hours later Mrs. ! Oswald called at police headauarters and | said she had found her watch. She want-| ed Jacobsen released, but that could only be done in the regular process. Police Judge Fritz was notified of the facts and he released Jacobsen on his own recog- nizance, and when the case is called in court this morning the waiter will be dis- | charged. —_———— Excursion Via Northern Pacific Ry. townships 3 ¢ 6 o i H Cosuflle _River (] ur Centraila, Brickson, €5 hours from | JIONOLULU—Arrived June 3—Schr David | H ver Porcs 7| (iravs Harbor: bound to San Pedro; put in (o | Bvans, from Newcastle, Aus: stmr Nevadan, | umbold Y a1 > > S <ahului. i Ll’;r‘r’t]‘lllz Whaiom: - |June -3 | Gipsy, Leland, 22 hours from Moss d June 3--Stmr Alameda, for San -1 Fue Disgo & Way P Unrne e Seryla, for Ssn Francisco.
