NEVADA CITY, May 3.—Herbert Golds- worthy was found dead this morning in a ditch five miles from Big Tunnel and close to Cooper’s sawmill. Goldsworthy, who resided at Colfax, was visiting at King & Wolford's sawmill, and last Sun- dey he wandered away from the mill. Dil- igent search was made for him and par- ties scoured the hills until all hope of find- ing him was given up. The snow is still deep in that section, and it was surmised Seattle, Wash- and died. The position of the body when found to-day man fell into the ditch and was drowned. Goldsworthy had not been well and went to the mill to rest. He became de- mented and wandered away to his death.
