The captain was removed to a local sanitarium to-day a very sick man from the constant strain during his last vovage. There are mow ten vessels on the list_with prices varying from 8 per cent up as high as S5 per cent. The Salopia, bound from Norfolk to Antwerp, is now out 33 days and is quoted at 85 per cent. The German Steam Navigation Company Kosmoé has ordered another steamer®to be bullt | Hamburg. She will be of 7500 dead weight and constructed so as to carry both passengers and freight. The dividends pald by this company for this year have fallen off about 3 per cent. Last year they paid 12 per cent while this year they only pald 9 per cent. This reduction is probably because of the fall- ing off in trade on the South American coast on account of the long standing quarantine. Albatross to Be Overhauled. The much needed repairs on the Albatross will be commenced in the near future. The bids have been forwarded to Washington for the work. The Albatross will leave for Alaska about the first of June with the Fish Commis- sion to investigate the salmon fisherfes. —— Sausalito Laid Up for Repairs. The North Shore Rallroad's ferry boat Sausa- [ 1ito will be laid up for repairs some time this week. Boole & Sons have been awarded .the contract. They will change her Into an oil- burner and give her a general overhauling.
