John Ivan, indicted by the Federal Grand Jury for robbing the mails on a stage coach near Ukiah on December 21, was held to answer yesterday by United States Court Commissioner Heacock. After Ivan had been taken to the County Jail he dis- played symptoms of insanity and the at- tendants were obliged to put him into a straitjacket and sent him to the Cen- tral Emergency Hospital.
