September 26. WIFE OF A CAPITALIST SUES FOR MAINTENANCE George H. Fuller Accused of Parsi- monious Conduct by His Wife, Emily T. Fuller, A suit for maintenance was filed in the County Clerk’s office yesterday by Emily T. Fuller, wife of George H. Fuller, the well known capitalist. In the complaint Mrs. Fuller alleges that, though her hus- band enjoys an income of $25,000 a year, he allows her but 35 a week on which to keep house. She asks the court to grant her a monthly allowance of $35), which sum, she claims, is necessary to keep her in accordance with her station in life. The complaint further alleges that Fuller compels his wife to go to his office every Baturday to collect the miserable pittance he allows her, and that he has warned her repeatedly that in_the event of her ex- nses exceeding $5_per week he would ublish in the papers that he would not responsible for the debts contracted by her. Mrs. Fuller claims that her husband’s holdings are valued at 315,000, and that it . is all community property. She says he is trying to evade the community prop- erty law by encumbering and deocln‘ irs. Falier aiso eh that her hus- er also charges band has conveyed to Bertha A. TELEGRAPH OPERATOR WINS A PRETTY BRIDE H. Bostwick Marries Miss Lillian Parsons at Her Parents’ Home. One of the prettiest home weddings of the year occurred last Tuesday evening, when H. Bostwick, who holds a respon- sible position with the Western Union Telegraph Company, was married to Miss Lillian_Parsons, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Parsons, at the home of the bride’s parents, 4331 Twenty-third street. The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. John A. Every. The parlors were beautifully decorated for the occasion with palms and choice cut hothouse flowers, Only the immediate relatives were present. The happy couple left for a todr of Southern California and expect to be gone several weeks. On the re- turn of Mr. and Mrs. Bostwick they will reside in this city. ————— Suicide of Mary Jobson. Mrs. Mary Jobson, otherwise known as Dolly Maxwell, a waif on the Barbary Coast, died yesterday morning in the Adelphta House, 913 Kearny street. She bad drinking with Fred Anderson in the Vandalla saloon and was taken sick while there. Anderson took her to the Adelphia House, where she told him that 2he Bad taken morphine. A physician was Semt for, but too long & thme had clapsed since she took the poison and he was unable to save her. Mrs. Jobson had been divorced from her husband, and later took up with Sam Maxwell, a pugilist. Maxwell is now I Alaska. —_—————— Grand Opera for Convent. A grand opera will be given in Native Sons' Hall on the 26th inst. for the benefit of the Presentation Convent. The event is commanding much attention and the advance sale of tickets is proceedini well. The instrumental and vocal music will be fine. The dialogue is amusing and spright- ly.
