SRR, 0 Miss Augusta Williams, a stenographer, residing at $65 Madison street, Oakland, | was held up and robbed at 10:30 o’clock last night by two footpads, after she had made a plucky fight and had been bru- tally beaten by the pair of desperadoes. ‘The robbery occurred at Ninth and Madi- son streets, within a block of the young woman’s home, under the shadow of the trees that line the sidewalk.
