A short time ago he took her to her folks in Stockton, In the expectation that a change of air and scene would improve her condition; but she be- came worse and he was obliged to go to Stockton last Tuesday to bring her home. They returned on Wednesday, and, being fatigued with the journey, retired at half-past 9 o'clock in the evening. The dead woman was 33 years old and was reared and educated in the city of Stockton.
