The tremendous pressure of water on the up- per dam of the Mountain View reservo'r was gradually reduced yesterday. The case of the police and the people was rep- resented by District Attorney Murphy and Garret McEnerney. . o Attorney Henry Ach occupied the whole | day in his argument, which was that the police had not a particle of right to interfere with the poolselling at Ingleside on the mere supposition that some law ' was broken or about to be broken, and that the Pacific Coast Jockey Club was entitled to heavy damages for this inter- ference.
