Mining stocks were lively and irregular yester- day, especially on the noon informal session, on which Chollar sold at 76@78c, Savage at 67@75¢, Ophir at $1@1 25, Occidental at $@% 05, Sierra Nevada at 77@45¢, Bullion a: :, and 50 on. Compared with Saturday, some stocks were higher aud others lower. The feeling was weaker on the afternoon call. as wiil be seen by the list of sales. The close appears below.
