Steuart gives the re- celpts of coal at this port during the first three months o2 1897 at 326,300 ons, against 342,800 tons during the same pericd in 1893, and says: “There baving been no arrivals of English an- thracite in port during the las: sixty davs stocks this coal are very much reduced, and as th firdt vessel carrying English anthracite Is not due forsixty days and the following vessels due in elghty and binety duve, the probability is that stocks will be competely exhausted In the meantime.
