Y., June 24.—American Sugar was traded in to the extent of nearly 150,000 shares to-day, and the fluctuations in this specialty completely overshadowed operations in the rail- way and miscellaneous list. The stock opened slightly lower, but soon advanced to 11634 on hases to cover short contracts, but a break to followed. Stock hela on slender marsins was shrown overboard, and fora time the market, so far as Sugar was concerned, was de- moranzed. No new reasons were given for the break, and, 1n fact. none were needed.
