Gratify was backed by stable, but Grady, William Pinker- ton and Instigator were becalmed. *‘Berry ‘Wall” Sioan on imp. Sir Play came strong through the stretch, but was unequal to the task and was beaten out a neck. Gratify was a poor third and William Pinkerton a distant fourth.
