CHICAGO MARKETS. CHICAGO, Irr, Oct. 12.—There was a quick, mervous action to the wheat market to-day. SO rapid were the changes in feeling from weak to Strong and vice versa that traders displayed trepi- dation in transacting business. Contrary to ex- Pectations, Bradstreet's report showed but smail clearances for the week—2,224.000 busheis—the shipments yesterday from the Atlantic coast not figuring in the statement. The bulls of the past few days bad reckoned on a more creditable show- ing, under the effects of which they looked for a fur- advance, bat with disappointment came realizing sales and a weak market at the Opening. That the life was- not -all-gone from the bull movement was proved by the rapldity with which a subsequent rally took place., The bulge was un- relinble, however; and a decline followed, after which there were 'several spurts and breaks, the close being at the lowest point of the day. The Northwest had liberal receipts, 1060 cars, and Chicago received 204. \Withdrawals from store were 26,000 bushels. Liverpool cables were higher, responsive 1o theadvance of yesterday on thisside.
