CHIUAGO MARKETS. CHICAGO, Irr., Sept. 12.—A natural recovery of 1o very great importance took place this morn- ing in wheat. The first impulse of prices wasa declining one, but there were good buying orders in the pit, alarge portion of which were for the purpose of covering previous sales. The bears were apparently satisfied with what they had ac- complished lately, and were not averse to per- mitting prices o rally, areuing very pertinently that they would be afforded a better Opportunity 10 sell when prices had had a bulge. The receipts in the Northwest were not quite as large as on the preceding days of the week, nor were they small enough to indicate a falling off in the movement. They amounted to 829 cars, and Chicago had_67 cars. Withdrawals from store amounted to 7500 bushels. Liverpool cables were weak and lower. Antwerp was lower, while Paris and Beriin both quoted advances. Export clear- ances were light at 39,731 bushels. December wheat opened at.from 5714¢ to 573/sc, sold between 57@58Y4C, closing at 577C, Hse higher thun yes- terday. Estimated receipts for to-morrow, 75 cars. Corn was a shade less firm to-day, the sentiment resting on the belief that the late favorable weather had placed the major portion of the crop beyond danger from frost. The Cincingati Price Current_confirmed this view of the situation, prices exhibiting an easy feellng, but not declining much on the report. Liverpool cables. were weak and jower. Receipis were 404 cars, and 503,050 bushels were Laken from store. The recovery in wheat helped prices some, but buyers were reluct- au. Expori clearances were good at 209765 bushels. May corn opened at 283,c, advanced to 29¢, closing at 2874c, V¢ under yesterasy. Esti- mated receipts for to-morrow, 275 cars. Oats—The fecling in oats continued steady.
