Oakland cramento C al JM ich SM H adelphia -~ The South’s the Place for the Negro. There is evidence in abundance to prove that when the American negro leaves this country to settle in another he is morally certain to render his condition much worse than it is here. With all that has been said, either falsely or with truth, about the abridgment of the negro’s rights in the South, he is really better off there than anywhere else. He finds there a healthful and congen environment, occupation which is well fitted to his peculiar capabi ties, a fruitful soil, a pitable climate, and plenty to eat and wear. As for his vil and political rights, that is something whic h\w k out all right in the end, and he is givi it than the political agitators who assume his especial guardians.—Kansas City (Mo.) Star.
