In one shape or another there has re- cently, with other campaign gossip, been considerable talk, particularly among those political leaders identified with the labor interes of the availability of Eugene V. Debs, president of the Ameri can Railway Union, as a candidate for President or Vice-President, on some National ticket. probably on the coast, is to-day closer to Debs than Harry A.
