CHICAGO MNARKETS. CHICAGO, ILL, July 23—Sixty-eight for Sep- tember wheat appeared t0 be the dividing line this morning. Above that quotations the offerings were free, below It they were restricted. Puts furnished enough buying orders to maintain the equilibrium when the price of those privileges were touched. The opening this morning was at & loss of of & cent from the close of yesterday. but at the depreciation there was a fairly steady tone. The receipts of 138,000 bushels of new wheat at St. Louis and the failure of European mar- kets to fully recognize the closing strength of yes- terday on this side were the main points affecting values at the start. The crowd was disposed to await the issnance of Bradstreet’s statement, and after the early orders were executed nothing much was done until noon. &t Chicago were 71 carsand fll"uoflh'lfl. J.
