The Engagement of Albert E. Castle and Miss- Jennle Winston. Receptions. The ladies of Belvedere will give a gar- den party and a musical and literary en- tertainment at that beautiful place on Sat- urday afternoon, the 27th inst., for the benefit of the church building fund. The affair promises to be a most interesting one. The artists who will appear on this occasion are: Mrs. Frances B. Edgerton, Mrs. J. E. Bermingham, Miss Florence Julia Doane, Miss Florence Connor, Wal- ter C. Campbell, John Irving Hausman, Frank L. Mathieu and the Treble Clef Quartet, Professor G. Sauvlet accom- panist. A pink luncheon was given by Mrs. E. Schnoor at the residence of her brother, C. 0. Schnoor, on Friday, complimentary to Mrs. Bushman of Omaba. The guests were: Mrs. Bushman, Mrs. Read, Miss Chase, M Chris Mangels, Mrs. White- field, Mrs. Wicker, Mrs. C. O. Schnoor and Miss E. Schnoor. Nuptlals and Betrothals. In Willows, Glenn County, last Thursday morning, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Orr, took vlace the wedding of Miss Irma Rasor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Rasor of that place, and William R. Laugenour of Woodland. Rev. Mr. Hoag, pastor of the Methodist Church of Willows, performed the ceremony. The couple were unattended and only the members of the respective families and a few most in- timate friends were present. After the ceremony an_elegant_collation was served by Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Orr, to whom the bride is a niece. The bridal pariy departed for Coronado and other resorts of Southern California on their honeymoon and will on their return take up their residence at tne St. Nicholas, San Francisco, for the winter.
