Cal. & Va.rose to §2 85, Ophir to $170 and the other stocks in proportion, the advance being general. The close was rather weak. NOTES. The French and German savings banks bave each declared & semi-ennual dividend at the rate of 4 810 per cent per annum on term deposits and 4 per cent per annum on ordinary deposits, paysble July 1. Inthe Savage on the 950 level east crosscut 1 from the north lateral drift started 106 feet north of the station is advanced 35 fect, in porphyry and stringers in quartz. The south drift from the sta- tion is sdvanced 48 feet: face continues in low- grade quartz. For the purpose of getting better ventilation they have drifted north 35 feet from the upraise and connected with the west crosscut from the face of north drift, fourth floor; the upper face of the crosscut is fn good ore. “The west crosscut from the face of the south drift, started from the east drift, is advanced 30 fee face is in porphyry and quartz. This drift passed through 7 feet of iair-grade ore. On the 1050 level the north drift started from the face of the west crosscut from the main south drift is advanced 15 feet, following the stream of ore mentioned in last weekly report. Daring the week they have holsted 34 cars of ore; car samples average $27 78 per ton. BOARD SALES.
