All Comstock shares advanced vesterday, the improvement peing most marked in the higher- priced stock. Con. Cal. & Va. sold up to $2 70, Ophir to $155, Hale & Norcross to 94 cents, Mexican to 68 cents, and so on. The close was weaker. NoTES. Franklin Leonard, president of the Sutro Tunnel Company. arrived on the Comstock last evening, says the Virginia Chronicle of last Saturday. Mr. Leonard will spend some days on the Comstock for the purpose of becoming conversant with the situ- ation, and his visit will no doubt result in benefit to the lode. 1In all probabilities arrangements will be made between the Sutro Tunnel Company and the mining company whereby the working of the Brunswick lode and the American Flat district will bo mude beneficial to both, aud to the community as well. A new strike of $30 ore is also announced In the official letter from the Ophir. A lot of $500,000 in Southern Pacific Railroad of Arizona 6 per cent bonds sold in this market at ar. Plhe Parafiine Paint Company will pay a quarterly dividend of 25 cents per share on June 29. The Humboldt Savings and Loan Society has de- clared a semi-annual dividend at the rate of 4.80 per cent per annum on term and 4 per centon or- dinary deposits, payable July 1. BOARD SALES.
