Henry Clew's New York Circular says: “It is very clear from the eagerness with which new is- sues are taken in England, Germany and Holiand, as well as on this market, that, during the last five years of business reaction, a vast amount of capi- tal has been held back from investment untii the times looked more propitious. The readiness with which new investments are now taken is plain evi- dence of a broad and positive revival of credit. That recovery means a re-enforcement of all the forces of industry and enterprise and the begin- ning of another decade of universal prosperity. Re- eniorced, as that revival will be, by the most ad- vanced methods of production, this coming ten years may be expected to surpass everything in the world’s experience in the way of industrial progress and commerclal expansion. Enterprising men will pot stand still_and dublously watch this Tising wave of prosperity. Sagacious men will see in it the beginnings of & tide that leads on to for- tune and submit themselves to its current.” OVERLAND SHIPMENTS., Overland shipments of freight from Northern and Central California via S.
