CHICAGO MARKETS., CHICAGO, Irr, May 13.—Wheat opened at a slight decline, partly on account of the change from unseasonable heat to comparative cold, being con- sideredl rather beneficial than otherwise for the growing crop. The week's shipments from Russia amounted to the unusually heavy total of 5,200,000 bushels, and that information was in the hands of people at the seaboard before the opening, but did not become public until halt an bour afterward, and then it was discovered by those who had sold bpon their sdvance information rezarding the Rus- sian shipments that they had miscalculated its eftéct upon the crowd. From 64¢ and 6434c at the opening the price of July wheat had gradually risen to around 6154 and was at the latter polnt when the Russian ship- ments were made kunown, but the price broke (o 643/sc only at that time, and again recovered 1o its previous highest price, aithough it had another and further decline later.
