Ten Thousand Dollar Damage Suit to Be Tried at Eddyville, Comes Up There Today — The Grand Riyers Company the Plaintiff. The suit of the G i Rivers com- pany against Jobn ‘Tinsley, of Lyon county, for $10,000 damages, is set for today at Eddyville, and will be called in the circuit court. The ease is a very important one and involves the above amount and perhaps more. Tinsley is charged with having removed the timber from 6,000 acres of land belonging to the company. The suit was filed several months ago, and Hon. JohgeK. Hendricks is] one of the attorneys for the plaintiffs, Mr. W. C. Kidd and Family Leaye in a Few Days. Mr. Will C. Freeman, Balkan, Keeney and Williams, the four negroes who shot Harvey McDowell Wednesday night, were taken to Cairo last night by Sheriff Gaunt and posse for eafe keeping. The Sheriff received a family, about the first of September for Texas, to reside. Mr. Kidd has many friends in Paducah who will re- gret to lose him as a citizen, but who will wish him success in his new home. He will probably locate in Gainesville, Tex.
