SUNDAY SCHOOL CONVENTION. Paducah to Be Visited by Prom- People Next Week Preparations for Their inent Reception The State Sunday School Conven= tion to Be Held Here Next Week ent In about a week Paducah will be called upon to entertain, in the Sun- day School convention, one of the st enthusiastic, wide-awake and distinguished bodies of religious workers which Kentucky affords, It will be an honor to our city, of which all citizens should show their appre- ciation by throwing open their homes to the delegates and making them glad they came. Committees are now canvassing the city to make this request at every house, and it is to hoped that they will meet with liberal responses, as they surely will, for Paducah has never failed to weet all obligations in the line of hospitality; nor in this ease can she afford to do so, for the delegates and visitors to this conven tion come to us from all parts of a state particularly noted for this grace—from the mountains of Kast ern Kentucky, where the door is ever open to the stranger—from the fa- mous ‘Bluegrass’? section, where welcome and good cheer perpetually abound from our diate neighborhood ; aud so the rep ulation of not only our « but the whole of Western Ke of which she is in this sentative, is at stake.
