This forenoon Officer Gray found a well-dressed little girl, apparently about 3 years old. Her hair is light, eyes blue, and her little face was covered with dirt. The line will then be extended to Lowes and other points. The work of building the long distance line to Cairo, and other places along the line, has not yet began. It is said by those who profess to know that Keys is now dickering to find out whether or not he can get the nomination of the populists at the district convention at Princeton on the 18th of this month. He has little show of it, it is said, and will then be forced into the dem- ocratic primary, if be runs at all, POLIO The Weakly Case Continued Until ‘Tomorrow, URT. George Weakly, colored, was tried in the police court this morning on a charge of detaining Anna Rowlett, agaiust her will. The plea made by Weakly was the same old plea, the woman consented to him for money. All the witnesses were present, and the case was continued until to- morrow, and Weakly was remanded to jail.
