Geese are very écarce, but selling at 17% cents a pound. Chickens are 15% cents a pound, with fancy brollers going at 25 cents Oysters are higher than a week or two ago, and are now selling at 40 cents a quart. When they advanced in the wholesale markets ir the east a wesk or 80 ago, it was announced that the storm_in the east put an end to the oyster flsheries for a few daye and thus caused the price to ad ance. Christmas Lamb is Here, Christmas lambs are on the market niso, and hindquarters are selling at 12%, while forequarters are. selling at #4% cents. Nice steer rib roasts may be had ai 17% cents a pound, which Is 2% cents cheaper than last Christmas. Fancy pork rossts may be had at 10 cents. These were 144 cents a year ago Mince meat Is 12% cents a pound, Cranberries are 10 conts a quart, which is a lttle higher than last year. Nuts are a little higher than last year, most grades selling at 17% cents a pound, while & year ago they could be had at 15 cents. Navel oranges were never finer than this Christmas. They come with a better color, a finer flavor, and more sweet, than in former years. They sell for from i to 40 cents & dozen, depending upon srade. Flour Is up 20 cents wholesale, but is sl retalling at $1.% a sack. SBugar is #till gelling seventeen pounds for a dollar, Fresh eggs are down 3 cents, selling now at 32 cents a dozen.
