Falls City Church Members Do Honor To Father Hoffman FALLS CITY, Neb., June 4.—(Special.) —~The twenty-fifth anniversary of the residence of Father J. J, Hoffman in Nebraska was observed here last night May 26 was his fifth anniversary as priest of the church of Sts. Peter and Paul in this city, the twentleth anniver- sary of his ordination as a priest and the twenty-fifth anniversary of his resi- dence in the state. A program by the children of the con- vent and addresses were given by James Noble, rector of St. Thomas' Episcopal church, John Mullen and Father Bricket of Rulo. Father Hoffman responded with a re- wiew of his coming to America and his work. His studies were in Germany, | France and Belgium. He came from Bel- glum in 188 and to Nebraska in 1900, During five years’' residence at Rulo he bullt the church and residence there and a new church in Ara and one in the Indi reservation near Rulo. From Rulo he went to Bellwood, Neb., whére he remained for ten years. At that place he built three churches, a school and a residence and came to this city on May | 6, 1910. and residence, which complete cost $52,000, of which $43,000 has been raised and paid | in and another 35,000 given in notes.
