Clearance Sale of $75,000 Stock to Commence on Saturday, May 1. Here, indeed, is the most start- ling drug store news of a genera- tion! The Meyers-Dillon Drug Co., at 16th and Farnam streets, has re- celved notice to vacate the build- A “Myers-Dil- lon” Drug Store to meet at de at and see sights from, an army of Omahans will feel lonesome— almost lost. + For twenty-one years al] that is good in drugs and the like has been dispensed from ‘‘Myers-Dil- lon’s"”—it has proved a standby-— a source of, reliability. If ever a “Myers-Dillon’" customer became dissatisfied the ‘‘Myers-Dillon” peopls, were just as anxious to right matters as was the customer to have matters rectified. Few drug stores in the entire United States have m sd last- ing and favorable an impression upon the public as this concern, ‘and much genuine regret will be heard now that a ate notice has been served. But enough ol. reminiscences now to business. The Myers-Dillon Drug Com- pany on Saturday, May 1st, drops a ‘thunderbolt into the drug world. Tt must rid itself of every grain, ounce, pound, barrel or package of bulk drugs, all patent medicines, tollet goods, drug sun- dries, stationery, candies, foun- tain pens, cutlery, paints, toys, novelties and the other tems of thousands of items usually car~ by & drug house of Myers-Dillon’s size and prestige. The Myers-Diljon Drug Com- || pany has a $75,000 stock within 1| the walls of its 16th apd Farnam retail quarters and in its Harney street warehouses. Enough stock is on hand right at this moment to stock a half a dozen good sized drug stores. But this very large quantity of goods makes the clear- ance sale even more urgent. Every dollar’s worth of goods in the Myers-Dillon Drug Company stock must be sold and sold in & hurry at the “quickest low price” it will bring. There isn't an ar- ticle but that will be sold at wholesale cost; many thousands of items are offered at less than wholesale "cost; there are thou- sands upon thousands of items that will go for less than cost to manufacture. The stock is far cleaner than that of the usual drug house and Myers-Dillon prices, even in the regular way, are far lower than those of usual druggists, because this concern is what is known in the trade as “large handlers” and own the goods in the first place for far less money than the little drug stores scattered here and there. What do you.think, then, of hav- ing this merchandise offered you at prices that are reduced to even greatly less than the usual Myers- Dillon figures? Watch Friday's papers for large announcements containing speci- men instances of underpriced {tems to be offered Saturday, dur- ing the first day of the “Notice To Vacate Sale. But stop to re- alize that the stock here s too collossal to be listed in its en- tirety in a single announcement. The stock will have to be taken up in sections and advertised from day to day In a series of sales. If you don't sez what you want in the first advertisement come to the store Batif anyway, for the article you have in mind will surely be here at a typical sale price. Then keep watching the papers by all means; they will keep you posted in regard to the daily happenings of the greatest drug store event ever offered to Omahans or Nebraskans. Mind you, it is a genuine sale, brought about by unforeseen cir- cumstances. With a. “Notice to Vacal staring it in the face, no drug store on earth waats to be .of & dollar's worth of stock. It's a case of must sell and sell gquickly. Turning goods into money in this instance will be far more gratifying than carrying the stock anticipating the future. Remember, read Friday evening papers’ Myers-Dillon Drug Company's “Notice to Vacate Sale” starts Saturday, May 1. | | |
