AGENT » Forged Bills of Lading Disturb Cotton Market Bogus Papers for More Than Fifteen Thousand Bales Discovered at Liverpool. ’ LONDON, April 22.—A severe ll\’flk has been experienced in the Liverpool eotton market, according to today's shipping Ga- zette, in the discovery of forged bills of lading for cotton purporting to have been shipped from the United States. The quan- tity Involved Is sald to be between 15,000 and 20,000 bales. According to the Gazette it is difficult to ascertain which bills of lading are bona- fide and which are fraudulent, and this point will be determined only upon the ar rival of the vessels and the discharge of their cargoes.
