In the spring of 1906 Delaney performed what was universally termed the impo: sible by turning out & winning track team with slim material. He whipped the greenest athletes Into first-class perform- ers and he ended the season with a well- balanced aggregation. NIAGARA FALLS, Out, Jan. 2.— Cashier William Dobson today confessed to Chief Mains of the Ontario police that he and two others planued and executed the robbery here last November, when $14,00 consigned to Torontwo banks was stolen after an alleged sensational holdup, in which Cashier Dobson's head was cut open with a piece of lead pipe. The other two under arrest are Purl S. Whistler, an express messenger, and Charles J. Flinn, formerly of New York City, who came to the American fulls two years ago and opened a saloon. As Dobson told the thrilling story after the robbery, two forelgners came into the office just as a train pulled into the ® tion, He was making up packages of money consigned to Toronto banks to put on board of the train. One of the forelgners asked if a parcel had been received for hiai and as Dobson leaned over to pick up & Look he recelved a stunning blow on the ‘hfud.
