Henderson, executor, Clara I. Fleld and William D. Henderson against the Bankers Union of the World was called for trial, As executor of the estate of Harriet M. Dickson, Frances M. Henderson is suing the defendant company for & 33,000 life in- surance policy, which was taken out by the deceased some time before her demth, which was in April, 10l The defendants set up the claim that Harriet M. Dickson was the victim of & cancer at the time she took out the insurance. The main ques- tion before the court and jury during the morning hours was as to the admissibility ot a comunication of the physiclan who had attended the deceased before her death, wherein it was alleged that the statement was made that the defefidant had known she was possessed of a cancer at the time she took out the insurance policy. TOPEKA, Kas., Nov. 2.—A special to the Topeka State Journal from Manhattan, Kan., says a feud has broken out thero be- tween the agricultural college students and the young men of the town. A number of the students have been way- laid at night and handled roughly. Satur- day evening two students were sevetely beaten.
