Tracey of Boston and Mrs. Mary Moody Pugh, re- cently of Denver, both having beem promi- nent in the early work of the club, Mrs, Tracey wad among the founders of the club and the leader of the current history de- partment, which was discontinued after her removal to the east. For several years Mrs. Pugh has been an active member of the club. BShe was at one time leader of the department of household economics, and s prominent throughout the state in her work for the advancement of home sclence. After & year's absence Mrs. Pugh has returped to the cily, and will make her home here ngain. The reception was most enjoyable, the usual formalities attendant upom such af- faira being entirely dispensed with, and the two hours devoted to the remewal of old scquaintances, and & review of the sum- mer’s doing, this being the first general gathering of the club women since t club« adjourned last May. Tall bunches of sunflowery decorated the rooms and from & prettily trimmed table in one cormer Mrs. G. W. Wattles and Miss Ethelwynne Kennedy served punch and waters. Mrs. Tracey and Mrs. Pugh both spoke briefly of elub work as they had found it in other cities and agreed regarding the unusual eficlency and practability of the local work. As Mrs. Keysor, president of the club, leaves the city for her future home in St. Louls on Friday, she was called for and briefly reviewed her work in the Omaha ofganization, all of which she. said she bad found most pleasant. She sald it was not her intention to take up club work again for & year or 5o, but she ex- pects to return to Omaha to preside at ti opening of the fall meeting, October 8, Ends Headache's Torture.
