Hereatter persons buying coal which Is to be stored in rooms which cannot be reached from & wagon with a twelve-foot chute will be required to pay for having the coal car- ried into the storeroom. Heretofore there was no limit upon the length of chute which could be used, and drivers of wagons were compelled to carry at times four chutes of twelve feet each for the purpose of reaching the places where the coal was to be stored. At a recent meetiug of the drivers’ union it was decided that hot more than ome chute would be carried. To this the coal dealers agreed, with the result that the consumers will hereafter have to ar- range for storing their coal within twelve feet of where the wagom can be driven or pay the additional cost of carriage.
