Some time ago the Woman's club named committees to bring about the removal of objectionable posters and it is at the re- quest of members of these committees that Mr. Connell Is drawing up an ordinance. The ordinance will be completed in time for Introduction at the meeting of the council Tuesday evening. “The measure will prohibit the display, exhibition or posting on billboards or in public places of any slgn, picture, adver- tisement, engraving or painting of an im- moral or obscene character,” sald the city attorney in discussing the proposed ordi- nance. “In the present city ordinances there is no specific provision for the re- moval of objectionable bills or posters.
