NEWS FROM COUNCIL BLUFFS Golden Wedding Anviversary of Mr. and | Mrs, Henry Bwan Ubserved. WEDDED FIFTY YEARS AGO YESTERDAY Celebration of the Event the Oceasion of Gathering Together the Family fo Dinner at the Homs of the Aged Couple. Yesterday was a golden Sabbath in more genses (han one to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Swan, who were wedded just fifty years ago. The occaslon was observed by them with their characteristic modesty, there being simply a family dinner at their home, Sixth av enue. Thelr fon, Willlam Swan, of Bvanston with his daughter, Miss Ada, and his sons George and Henry, were present, but his wife and little child were unable to a'tend. There were also present Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Bd mundson, Judge and Mrs. J. R. Reed, Mr and Mrs. Z. T. Lindsey of Omaha, th daughter, Miss Georgla Lindsey, and their fon, Harry Lindsey. Other relatives were present in spirit, but were prevented by va rious circumstances from responding to the | fnvitations, which were restricted to the fam- ily. Numerous golden gifts added to the ex pressions of congratulations and well wishe felt not merely by the favored few seated about the hountiful t but shared in by a wide-circle of friends, by whom this w couple are so highly esteemed. Yellow ros were appropriately prominent in the decora tions of this golden occasion, and each gue at the table put on this floral badge.
