Beginning with November 1st, a first class train will leave every Thursday from New Orleans for San Francisco, anl similar trains will run from San Irancisco to New Orleans is claimed by railroad officials that these trains will be unsurpassed west of Chicago. The cars will be vestibuled, with a first class dining car, a smoking car with wriling tables and stationery, bath room and barber shops, and the whole train will be heuted by steam and lighted by gas. The time from New Orleans to San Francisco will be seventy-scven and a half hours and sey- enty-nine hours eastbound. The change will redice the time to New Orleans twenty-nine hours and to New York thirty and a half hours, giving the same quick service as over the Central route.
