SOUTHEAST SECTION, Butler County—Good rains have helped all vegetation. Corn and pastures in good con- dition. Small grains have Improved, but crops will be very short. Cherries will be full crep. Gage County—Abundant proved all crops and grass. better than was anticipated. Jefferson County—A favorable week for all crops. Corn doing splendidly. Wheat and oats heading, and harvest will be two weeks earlier than usual. Johnson County—A very favorable week. An extra good crop of corn is expected, but other crops and grass and apples will be very short. Lancaster County—The best growing week of the season. Late oats and wheat filling’ Corn promises an excellent crop. Nemaha County—Corn fine, Wheat filling. Potatoes good. ~ Apples, average crop ex- pected. Corn growing rapidly. The wheat and oats that are left are improving. York County—A dry week. Oats heading out short. Corn average size. Hay will be short. Concordia, Kan—A fine week. Wheat nearly ready for harvest; a gool yield ex- pected. Corn is splendid. NORTHEAST SECTION, Antelope County—All crops except corn are ruined. Rye, wheat and oats are dried out beyond recovery. Oats a total failure, Burt County—Past week very warm and dry. Corn looking fairly well. Cedar County—Hot and dry; no Corn doing well. Small grain short. Cuming County—Corn in good condition. Small grain and hay one-half ecrop. Dixon County—Corn looking well and making good growth. Oats and wheat are practically a failure. Scattered light local showers. Potato bugs very numerous.
