Constable Baker had to disgorge a bicycle yesterday which he had seized on a writ of ttachment sued out by the Dodge Light guards. The wheel was supposed to be the property of Harry Nason, and the guards claimed $10 of the owner for the rent of a hall used for dancing purposes about two years ago. On the case coming up in court it was found that Nason was a minor and that the bicycle belonged to his mother any- way, 50 that it had to be given up. John Kraniger, who lives in the southern part of the city, assaulted his wife and half killed her several weeks ago. He was brought before the insane coinmissioners and was discharged by them. Last evening he repeated the operation, trying to brain his better half with a shovel. ~ She escaped “_his anger by running to a neighbor’s house for protection.
