Cnicaco, Sept. 21.—The rate war between the Atwhison aud Southern Pacific lines has ended and rates will go back to their old basis October 1. General Passenger Agent Goodman of the Southern Pacific today wired the office of that road in Chicago that the entire matter had been adjusted and that rates woula o back to the old standard after the expiration of the customary ten days notice. The result is a victory for the Atchison road in every part of the dispute.
