KELLAR ANSWERS PRESBYTERIANS An Army OfMeor Alloges that the Positien Taken By the Followers of Knox I8 Erroncous—Immorailty in the Army Posts, Washington dispatches, containing a report of the resolutions of the United Chi lan commission of the Presbyterian assembly in session at the capitol regarding the army canteen and the enlistment of Christian young men m the servico of Uncle Sam, stated that the commission haa resolved to discourag the enliste ment of sons of Christian families into the army unless some safoguards are thrown about them to prevent their drinking boer at the post canteens and entering into sports and so-called wices not mentioned in the “Little Bonny" Sunday school books, Furthermore, this society alleges that gambling is one of tho prlm-fpnl foatures of the army which is paid to defend this great country, and 1t was stated that ofticers igh in rank encouraged gumbling in order to profit by tho losses of subordinates. A clipping of this somowhat sensational number of the older report was shown toa officers now serving at_tho headquarters of the Department of the Platto and their opine ions askea.
