The other men vinthined that they were innocent and defled the court to prove their guilt. Mon day the trial of Doug MeGuire and Harry | Holt was commenced, but there were no startling developments. Y r it was different and th 1 saddling of responsibility to the cther, In the first place” Harry Holt turned state'’s evidence and squealed on his pals He detailed the manner ‘in which the bur glaries were committed, declaring that the only part that he took was to go along and hold the team while the McGuires went through, the buildings and took out the | plunder, He was always with them on their raids, but not once was he the first party to enter a house or store. At the robbing of the Kennedy store he drove the team and helped scereto the stolen goods. While Holt's testimony produced some: thing of a sensation it was not a marker to that of Cad McGuire, who has been sen tenced. He went upon the witness stand to take the whole blame upon his own shoul ders, He swore that not only was he the | leader of the gang, but that'he was the | prucipal actor.
