The discovery was soon mude, how- ever, thut the offerings were being raplaly absorbed and the market bozan to harden. Pardridge, Lyon, Glilette, Schwartz-Dupel and other operators were good buyers, while shorts generally appeared disposed to cover on the broak which has tiken place during the Iast auy or two The Clncinnatl Price Current's crop sum- mary reported the condition of the growing wheat In Kunsas unfavorable and this put little strength into the market. Then came a dispateh from Minneapolls that 100,000 bu. of whoat had been taken there this morning for export, and also brought the sensatiounl as- sertion thut the export engagements for three dnys were estimated at 3,000,000 bu. While this was not credited, the crowd scemed to think that there niust be some basis for Ity and the buying was foru time quite sharp, many of the early seilers trying to ket bick their whent, For a time the teeling was rather foverish and there was a gradunl advance 1o §9%c. Wheat and flour exports from the senbourd were equal to about 650.000 bu. of wheut.
